17 Jul 1964 | | Journal: | Science, 145 (3629), 261-262 | | Abstract: | After the intense Alaskan earthquake of 27 March 1964, unusual waves up to 6 feet (about 2 meters) in height occurred at about the time of arrival of seismic waves at many localities along the coasts of Louisiana and Texas.
