AbstractWe propose a method of measuring the electron temperature T in mesoscopic conductors and demonstrate experimentally its applicability to micron-size graphene devices. The method which can be used in case of overheating is based on analysis of the correlation function of mesoscopic conductance fluctuations. Although the amplitude of these fluctuations strongly depends on the details of elastic and inelastic scattering in graphene, we show analytically and numerically that T extracted from their correlation function is almost insensitive to these details.
