Conformal Carpet and Grating Cloaks | Roman Schmied
; Jad C. Halimeh
; Martin Wegener
; | Date: |
6 Sep 2010 | Abstract: | We introduce a conformal version of the previously introduced quasi-conformal
carpet cloak [Li and Pendry, Phys. Rev. Lett. 101, 203901 (2008)]. It provides
exact refractive-index profiles in closed mathematical form for the usual
carpet cloak as well as for other mirror shapes. By analyzing the asymptotic
behaviors of these index profiles, we find that the performance of experimental
finite-size cloaks can be greatly improved by cloaking metal mirrors with zero
average height such as gratings. | Source: | arXiv, 1009.1044 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
