Chaotic properties of quantum many-body systems in the thermodynamic limit | Giovanni Jona-Lasinio

16 Dec 1995 | Journal: | Phys.Rev.Lett. 77 (1996) 4322-4325 | Subject: | Condensed Matter; Chaotic Dynamics | cond-mat chao-dyn nlin.CD quant-ph | Abstract: | By using numerical simulations, we investigate the dynamics of a quantum system of interacting bosons. We find an increase of properly defined mixing properties when the number of particles increases at constant density or the interaction strength drives the system away from integrability. A correspondence with the dynamical chaoticity of an associated $c$-number system is then used to infer properties of the quantum system in the thermodynamic limit. | Source: | arXiv, cond-mat/9601056 | Other source: | [GID 211657] pmid10062509 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
