Scientific Pluralism: the battle of High Temperature Superconductivity | Pascal Lederer
; | Date: |
29 Oct 2015 | Abstract: | The early development of conflicting theories (i.e. one aspect of scientific
pluralism) about the microscopic mechanism of High Temperature
Superconductivity is described. The biographical roots of this diversity are
stressed, as well as its subjective/objective roots. Scientific pluralism is
discussed in relation with this study, as well as various philosophical
teachnings about relativism, the Duhem-Quine thesis on the underdetermination
of theory by facts, and the dialectics of knowledge and nature. | Source: | arXiv, 1510.8808 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
