The Relation Between Catalyst-assisted Entanglement Transformation and Multiple-copy Transformation | Yuan Feng

12 Dec 2003 | Subject: | quant-ph | Abstract: | We show that in some cases, catalyst-assisted entanglement transformation cannot be implemented by multiple-copy transformation. This fact, together with what we have shown in [R. Y. Duan, Y. Feng and M. S. Ying, quant-ph/0312010] that the latter can be completely implemented by the former, indicates that catalyst-assisted transformation is strictly more powerful than multiple-copy one. We also find that for any given state, the set of all states that can be transformed into it with the aid of some catalyst has exactly the same extreme points as the set of all states that can be directly transformed into it by LOCC. | Source: | arXiv, quant-ph/0312110 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
