Temperature dependence of scaling parameters in the anomalous Hall effect | Cong Xiao

3 Mar 2019 | Abstract: | In the existing paradigm of the anomalous Hall effect, the scaling relations
between the anomalous Hall resistivity and longitudinal resistivity play the
central role. The scaling parameters by definition are fixed as the scaling
variable (longitudinal resistivity) changes. To the contrary, we unveil that
the electron-phonon scattering can result in apparent temperature-dependence of
the scaling parameters when the longitudinal resistivity is tuned through
varying temperature. We propose an experimental procedure to observe this
temperature-dependence. The revealed mechanism can also lead to non-monotonic
temperature-dependence of the anomalous Hall conductivity in weakly disordered
metallic systems. | Source: | arXiv, 1903.0810 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
