AbstractWe compare the circumnuclear stellar population and environmental properies of Seyfert and Composite (Seyfert + Starburst) nuclei with those of LINERs and LINER/HII transition galaxies (TOs), and discuss evidences for evolution from Seyfert/Composite to LINER/TO nuclei.
