25 May 2004 | Subject: | Quantum Physics; Pattern Formation and Solitons | quant-ph nlin.PS | Abstract: | Optical dissipative structures supported by degenerate optical parametric oscillators are shown to exhibit perfect squeezing at a special transverse mode. Unlike squeezing in other cavity systems the phenomenon we report is not critical as is independent of the system parameters.
