In the model the interfacial exchange energy is split in two parts, a unidirectional contribution responsible for the exchange bias shift, and an effective uniaxial anisotropy giving rise to the enhanced coercive field observed in all F/AF systems. This is a key feature of the model which we attribute to a spin-glass like behavior of the interface. The simulations are in excellent agreement with the azimuthal dependence of the exchange bias and coercive fields for the complete 360$^circ$ angular range. | Source: | arXiv, cond-mat/0504764 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
