Quark coalescence and the scaling of hadron elliptic flow | V. Greco
; C. M. Ko
; | Date: |
23 May 2005 | Subject: | nucl-th | Abstract: | Using models ranging from schematic ones with simple quark distributions to the more realistic blast wave, we have studied the elliptic flow of hadrons produced from quark coalescence. We find that the hadron elliptic flow generally follows the expected quark number scaling, in spite of possible large local anisotropy in the quark momentum distribution. The scaling is, however, violated if the quark collective radial flow is anisotropic and/or if one includes the momentum dispersion of quarks inside hadrons. | Source: | arXiv, nucl-th/0505061 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
