Strangelet Searches in High Energy Heavy Ion Collisions | K.N. Barish for the E864 Collaboration
; | Date: |
17 Nov 1997 | Journal: | Nucl.Phys. A639 (1998) 423-432 | Subject: | nucl-ex | Abstract: | In this contribution I concentrate on the recent results from experiment E864 at the BNL-AGS. E864’s recent analysis have achieved sensitivities of approximately $3 imes 10^{-8}$ per 10% central interaction for the production of charged strangelets and the first analysis for neutral strangelets is near completion. I put the results in the context of coalescence and quark gluon plasma strangelet production models. | Source: | arXiv, nucl-ex/9711006 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
