A modified form of the polar model of crystals | Leonid Didukh
; | Date: |
22 Dec 1998 | Journal: | Condensed Matter Physics, vol. 1, No. 1 (13), p. 125-144 | Subject: | Strongly Correlated Electrons | cond-mat.str-el | Affiliation: | Ternopil State Technical University, Ukraine | Abstract: | A model for description of materials with narrow energy bands is proposed. It is shown that in narrow-band materials electron-hole symmetry is absent in contrast to the Hubbard model. In this paper metal-insulator transition is studied. The obtained results are compared with experimental data for narrow-band materials. Some specific narrow-band effects are discussed. | Source: | arXiv, cond-mat/9812364 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
