This description results as an approximation to the relativistic Faddeev equation for three quarks. The corresponding effective Bethe-Salpeter equation is solved, and fully four-dimensional wave functions for both octet and decuplet baryons are obtained. Confinement of quarks and diquarks is incorporated by modifying their propagators.
