Effect of disorder on the NMR relaxation rate in two-band superconductors | B. Mitrovic

15 Jun 2006 | Subject: | Superconductivity | Abstract: | We calculate the effect of nonmagnetic impurity scattering on the spin-lattice relaxation rate in two-band superconductors with the s-wave pairing symmetry. It is found that for the interaction parameters appropriate for MgB2 the Hebel-Slichter peak is rapidly suppressed by disorder and completely removed when the impurity scattering rate is comparable to the superconducting Tc} of the clean compound. | Source: | arXiv, cond-mat/0606393 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
