Spectral Weights, d-wave Pairing Amplitudes, and Particle-hole Tunneling Asymmetry of a Strongly Correlated Superconductor
Chung-Pin Chou ; T. K. Lee ; Chang-Ming Ho ;
Date 25 Jun 2006
Subject Strongly Correlated Electrons
AbstractThe spectral weights for adding and removing an electron of the d-wave resonating-valence-bond superconducting state of the t-J-type models are studied numerically on finite lattices. Treating exactly the strong correlation between electrons, we show that the product of weights is equal to the pairing amplitude squared, same as in the weakly coupled case. In addition, the results for our homogeneous system corroborates well with the recent observations of particle-hole asymmetry of average conductance and anti-correlation between gap sizes and peak heights in high Tc cuprates by tunneling spectroscopy.
