The most interesting thing in this article is the fact that electronic specific heat from single particles cannot reproduce the wide hump between Tc and T*. The hump can be reproduced very well by a pairing contribution. The doping dependence is correct when fitting experiments. However, the main problem is that there is no superconducting phase transition at Tc. The sharp peak at Tc is not reproduced.
Maybe this model could be improved by introducing considering the phase transition together with pairing fluctuations.
