Marangoni Flow: An Additional Mechanism in Boiling Heat Transfer
Jay L McGrew ; Frank L Bamford ; Thomas R Rehm ;
Date 2 Sep 1966
Journal Science, 153 (3740), 1106-1107
AbstractExperimental results indicate that extensive liquid circulation can be established by surface tension gradients near bubbles attached to heated surfaces. This circulation can contribute significantly to the high rate of heat transfer observed under boiling conditions.
