Hawking Radiation, Covariant Boundary Conditions and Vacuum States | Rabin Banerjee
; Shailesh Kulkarni
; | Date: |
31 Oct 2008 | Abstract: | The basic characteristics of the covariant current $<J_{mu}>$ and the
covariant energy-momentum tensor $<T_{mu
u}>$ in Unruh, Hartle-Hawking and
Boulware states are obtained from a chiral effective action. These results are
used to justify the covariant boundary condition used in recent approaches
cite{Isowilczek,shailesh,shailesh2,Banerjee} of computing the Hawking flux
from chiral gauge and gravitational anomalies. We also discuss a connection
between the trace anomaly and the gravitational anomaly. | Source: | arXiv, 0810.5683 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
