Practical Security of Counterfactual Quantum Cryptography against General Intercept-resend Attacks
Sheng Zhang ; Jian Wang ; Chao-jing Tang ; Quan Zhang ;
Date 3 Mar 2011
AbstractA proof of practical security of counterfactual quantum cryptography(CQC) is presented. First, we obtain a bound tighter than that in Yin’s method[Phys. Rev. A 82, 042335 (2010)], and coinciding with the reality more intuitively based on the fact that the error rates in both three intrinsic events are important for the security. On the other hand, a well -conceived time-shift attack to a practical CQC system with imperfect detectors is proposed to reveal the problem on implementing a secure CQC system in the real world.
