AbstractWe have utilized electrochemical deposition for the preparation of FeSe films on rolling assisted biaxially textured substrate (RABiTs) tapes, which are being currently used for 2nd generation cuprate coated conductors. FeSe films can be deposited on RABiTS tapes at synthesis voltages between -0.8 and -1.0 V using distilled water with FeCl2$cdot$4H2O, SeO2 and Na2SO4. The composition of Se for the obtained samples decreases with decreasing voltage, while the opposite behavior is observed for Fe. The sample deposited at -1.0 V shows a superconducting transition at around 8 K by magnetic susceptibility measurements. From these results, electrochemical synthesis is suitable to produce superconducting FeSe tapes, which opens a new path way to various industrial applications.
