A q-Analog of Foulke's conjecture
François Bergeron ;
Date 25 Feb 2016
AbstractWe propose a $q$-analog of classical plethystic conjectures due to Foulkes. In our conjecture, up to a divided differences, the Hall-Littlewood polynomials $H_n(mathbf{x};q)$ replace the complete homogeneous symmetric functions $h_n(mathbf{x})$. At $q=0$, we get back the original statement of Foulkes, and we show that our version holds at $q=1$. We also give further supporting evidence for our conjecture, and related results.
