Tunneling of Bose-Einstein condensates and nonlinear models with separatrix crossings | A.P. Itin
; | Date: |
20 Oct 2004 | Subject: | Chaotic Dynamics | nlin.CD | Abstract: | Time-dependent tunneling processes in Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) can often be described by "nonlinear Landau-Zener equations" (O.Zobay, B.M. Garraway, Phys. Rev. A {f 61} 033603 (2000)), i.e Landau-Zener equations modified by nonlinear contributions. We consider this model from the nonlinear dynamics point of view. To investigate separatrix crossings phenomena which occur in the model we apply the adiabatic approach (developed by A.I. Neishtadt and others) which have never been applied to such kind of quantum problems so far. | Source: | arXiv, nlin.CD/0410040 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
