AbstractWe analyze the existence and stability of bright, dark, and gap matter-wave solitons in optical superlattices. Using these properties, we show that (time-dependent) ``dynamical superlattices’’ constitute an ideal setting for the deposition, guidance, and manipulation of these solitons. Because of their flexibility, such experimentally accessible protocols may pave the way for the controllable use of solitonic quantum ``bits’’.
