19 Jun 2006 | Abstract: | We study the quarks mass matrices ansatz proposed by Fritzsch, Du-Xing and Fukuyama-Nishiura in the framework of the general two Higgs doublet model. We discuss the corresponding Yukawa matrices in the flavor basis in the different cases considered. For the Fukuyama-Nishiura ansatz, by using two different assignments for the up-type and down-type quarks we compute the Yukawa coupling matrices xi^{lrp{U}} and xi^{lrp{U}} in the mass basis for both types of quarks obtaining some vanishing entrances and finding an absence of the flavor changing neutral currents involving terms of the form h^0 o ar{u}c, h^0 o ar{c}t, h^0 o ar{d}b, h^0 o ar{s}b. The corresponding Cabbibo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements are computed in all cases and compared with their experimental values. Finally we discuss some phenomenology of two body decays of the top quark, the lightest Higgs boson and the charged Higgs boson in order to observe the influence of the different kind of textures of Yukawa coupling matrices considered. | Source: | arXiv, hep-ph/0606190 | Services: | Forum | Review | PDF | Favorites |
