Localization of evanescent Andreev pairs in a charge density wave
S. Duhot ; R. Mélin ;
Date 14 Jun 2006
Subject Mesoscopic Systems and Quantum Hall Effect
AbstractAn Andreev pair in a charge density wave (CDW) below the Peierls gap is localized on the Fermi wavelength while one particle states are localized on the CDW coherence length. The resulting absence of a Josephson effect through a CDW is very robust against highly transparent interfaces, defects, and finite voltages.
